Job Description

Residential and Commercial Renovation company is locating to fill a newly created job as Site Carpenter. In this role, you will be keeping sites running, material pickups and deliveries in the company van, receiving and checking against orders, floor protection, hoarding, insulation, protecting finished work, maintaining site cleanliness, interior demolition, non-structural framing, installations, opening wall sections for plumbing, wiring, inspections, patching, doors, trim, hardware, and various related tasks associated with project renovations.

Required Qualifications:

Hands-on renovation/carpentry experience across more than one trade, or strong skills in one trade with a willingness/ability to learn others
Finishing or general carpentry background with commercial or institutional experience, including hospitals
Physically able to handle demolition, material handling and a full day on site
Comfortable working in occupied homes and around clients
Clear communication — you can tell us what happened and what you need
You will need your own smartphone to stay in touch. One with a proper data plan that can handle daily photo uploads and app use. Your phone/plan costs are your responsibility.
Some experience using project management apps (or a willingness to learn). We use apps and AI tools for logging and managing task lists, progress updates, material requests, photos, data entry, etc. JobTreadTM makes it easy to keep sites connected and organized.
Valid BC Class 5 driver's licence and a clean driver's abstract
Your own hand tools and a basic power tool kit, CSA-approved steel-toed boots
WHMIS, fall protection, asbestos awareness, or Occupational First Aid
