Role Overview

Reporting to the Supervisor, Production Reporting, Resources & Geotechnical Solutions, the Senior Technical Analyst will support a portfolio of vendor‑provided engineering and operational applications used by engineers, resource modelers, operations, and site teams. These applications are embedded in day‑to‑day planning, analysis, and operational decision‑making across the business.

The role is centered on maintaining application reliability, diagnosing issues in live environments, and ensuring systems continue to operate effectively in support of business operations, including ongoing application sustainment, change coordination, and alignment with evolving business requirements.

This role serves as a primary point of ownership for assigned applications, working closely with business users, vendors, and IT partners to keep systems stable, well‑understood, and responsive to operational needs, while coordinating requirements, vendor delivery, testing, and validation activities.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support & Ownership

  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for assigned engineering and operational applications, with responsibility for ongoing application sustainment and operational readiness.
  • Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of incidents and service requests, from intake and triage through resolution and closure, including coordination across stakeholders and vendors.
  • Perform detailed troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis across application, integration, and data layers.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with vendors and internal teams, ensuring timely follow‑up, effective vendor management, and clear communication.
  • Balance and prioritize time‑sensitive operational issues while managing ongoing support work.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned applications, ensuring clear ownership and accountability.

Technical Analysis and System Understanding

  • Analyze application behavior toidentifyunderlying causes of incidents, performance issues, or data anomalies.
  • Review data flows, interfaces, and integrations to understand failure points and systemic risks, and upstream/downstream data dependencies.
  • Support configuration changes, data corrections, and release activities through planning, coordination, testing, and validation.
  • Assess the operational impact of application changes or enhancements and support their introduction into production environments.
  • Perform data gathering and analysis to support troubleshooting, testing, and business validation activities.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in application support, technical analyst, or systems analyst roles.
  • Strong experience supporting business‑critical applications in live, production environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL for data investigation, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of application architecture concepts, including integrations, dependencies, and data movement.
  • Hands‑on experience with incident and problem management processes.
  • Experience working with external vendors and third‑party support models, including coordination and issue escalation.
  • Ability tooperateeffectively in time‑sensitive, operationally focused environments.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings, requirements, and testing outcomes to a range of stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with API and integration concepts and how data moves between systems.
  • Experience supporting vendor‑hosted or SaaS applications.
  • Exposure to audit‑controlled or regulated systems.
  • Spanish languageproficiencyfor cross‑regional collaboration.
