Build the Future With Us
As part of our BC Vancouver Island team, you'll help shape resilient communities on the lands where WSP's Earth & Environment story began. From Victoria, you'll tap into a global network of 14,000 Earth & Environment professionals delivering geotechnical excellence wherever it matters most - across the Capital Region, Vancouver Island, BC, and the Yukon.
You will work closely with provincial agencies, First Nations partners, and key players in natural resource and renewable sectors, contributing to infrastructure and environmental solutions that leave a lasting impact.
Your Impact
- Deliver geotechnical analysis, recommendations, and designs that support safe, efficient, and resilient transportation, energy, and community infrastructure across Vancouver Island and beyond.
- Lead and contribute to investigations, engineering assessments, and geotechnical programs including boreholes, in-situ testing, piezocone soundings, trenches, and construction monitoring.
- Produce clear, data-driven geotechnical reports that directly inform project decisions for highways, bridges, dams, buildings, tunneling, industrial facilities, and more.
- Diagnose and evaluate complex geotechnical challenges including settlement behavior, slope stability, liquefaction potential, frost heave, interstitial overpressure, excavation planning, and earthworks procedures.
- Guide project delivery from scoping to execution - preparing bid documents, evaluating proposals, engaging subcontractors, and supporting multi-disciplinary teams.
- Collaborate across WSP's national and global network to share knowledge and deliver innovative, practical solutions for clients and communities.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- You hold a degree in Geotechnical Engineering (or closely related discipline) and bring at least 6 years of hands-on experience in geotechnical, geological, or geomechanics engineering.
- You are registered - or eligible to register - as a P.Eng with EGBC.
- You're fluent in geotechnical design tools such as GeoStudio, Rocscience, and related modeling software.
- You navigate both office and field environments with confidence - from analysis and reporting to on-site investigations and construction support.
- You take initiative, thrive in collaborative environments, and have a proven ability to deliver work on time and on budget.
