The Opportunity

Lead the Groundwork for the Future.

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will influence some of Western Canada's most impactful projects. From complex soil behaviour challenges to major infrastructure programs, you'll bring technical leadership, project management excellence, and deep geotechnical insight to multidisciplinary teams shaping resilient, sustainable communities.

This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned geotechnical professional who thrives on solving complex problems, guiding teams, and driving high-quality, client-focused outcomes.

Your Impact
  • Lead geotechnical investigations, analyses, and design on multi-disciplinary projects for major infrastructure, energy, transportation, civil infrastructure, and development projects.
  • Manage medium- to large-scale projects, from planning and budgeting through delivery and client engagement.
  • Assess and evaluate key geotechnical challenges such as settlement, liquefaction, slope stability, excavation considerations, and more.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, design briefs, engineering memos, and construction documents.
  • Manage field programs that may include drilling, in-situ testing, CPT investigations, trenching, and construction QA/QC activities (e.g., subgrade compaction, geosynthetics installation).
  • Guide junior and intermediate engineers, promoting technical excellence and professional development across the team.
  • Collaborate with environmental, structural, civil, and construction partners to deliver integrated project solutions.
  • Implement innovative design approaches, digital tools, and sustainable engineering principles across project work.
  • Contribute to project delivery excellence by ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional technical rigor.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Geological or Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience, including leadership roles in complex, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in British Columbia or eligibility for registration.
  • Proven project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, resource planning, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Advanced proficiency with industry-standard geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, Rocscince, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong understanding of local regulatory frameworks, construction practices, and geotechnical risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor teams, provide technical direction, and deliver solutions that meet client, environmental, and financial objectives.
  • You navigate both office and field environments with confidence - from analysis and reporting to on-site investigations and construction support.
  • A passion for innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement in geotechnical engineering.
