Job Description

Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior Analyst, Corporate Development to join a high-performing strategic team at a major Canadian organization. This role supports key investment, growth, and business transformation decisions across a global operation. As the company expands and elevates its internal capabilities, this position plays a critical role in shaping the business case for major capital and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Development, the Senior Analyst will bring a blend of strong financial analysis and commercial judgment to help drive corporate growth.

Responsibilities

Build and assess financial models to evaluate major investments, partnerships, and strategic initiatives
Prepare business cases, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership
Work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and strategy teams to gather insights and develop analyses
Conduct industry, market, and competitor research to support corporate decision-making
Present complex information in clear, concise formats to support executive-level discussions
Contribute to project management for key corporate development initiatives
Help mentor and raise the standard of analytical thinking across the team
Support preparation of materials for executive committees and board-level reviews
Identify risks, sensitivities, and opportunities in investment proposals
Participate in the development and improvement of internal valuation and analysis frameworks
Support M&A activities, including due diligence and integration planning

Requirements

3-6 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, or a similar strategic role
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a business-first mindset
Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders
Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to “think beyond the spreadsheet”
Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
Experience developing or presenting strategic business cases to executive audiences
High level of integrity, curiosity, and critical thinking
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
CPA, CFA, or MBA considered assets but not required

Remuneration

Salary range: $120,000 to $150,000
Target bonus: 15%

Hybrid work model: 3-4 days in-office, flexible on Mondays and Fridays
