SWIM is proud to be partnering with this great company to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their close-knit, high-functioning finance team. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the Controller and collaborating with a small but mighty office team. You’ll be the go-to person for full-cycle accounting and day-to-day financial operations.

• Full-cycle accounting: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, cheque issuing, credit card processing, and financial statement preparation.
• Supporting month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and invoices.
• Maintaining filing and documentation for all accounting transactions
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis related to operational activities.
• Responding to financial inquiries and helping resolve any reporting issues.
• Reviewing expense classification and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting practices and regulations.
• Responsible for Vehicles flooring / financing requirements.
• Contributing to a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment with strong organizational skills.

• 2+ years of experience in a similar full-cycle accounting role.
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Docs, and MS Office, with experience across various accounting systems (ERP experience is an asset).
• A customer-focused and professional communication style.
• Strong organizational and time management skills—able to meet deadlines and stay composed under pressure.
• An interest in pursuing a CPA designation, or already on the path to obtaining one.
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with a can-do attitude and strong ownership of responsibilities.

The company’s office is in Burnaby, and the Senior Accountant will work on full-time in the office.

How Much:

This role offers a competitive compensation package, including:

• A base salary of $70,000 - $72,000 base commensurate with experience.
• Discretionary bonus up to 12%.
• 3 weeks’ vacation.
