Job Description

The Developmental Disabilities Association (DDA) is a leading employer in BC’s social services sector. The Respite Coordinator assists in the development and promotion of a range of respite and home share services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Job Title: RESPITE COORDINATOR | #2116
Service Area: Respite Services
Location: Vancouver, BC
Start Date: January 19, 2026
Term/Status: Permanent Full Time
Schedule/Hours: Flex-time // 37.5 hours per week
Hourly Wage: $36.84 as per collective agreement

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Social Work, Degree in Social Sciences or other combination of education and experience relevant to job goal.
  • Minimum two years of experience in the provision of resource services to families with a member who has multiple disabilities.
  • Assessment, Counselling, and Public Relations skills experience.

Standard requirements of the Respite Coordinator include:

  • Criminal Record Clearance
  • Medical Clearance
  • Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
  • Class 5 Driver’s Licence and use of a vehicle for work
  • Valid First Aid/CPR
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certification
  • Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication
  • Digital literacy and proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Salesforce, and Office 365 Applications
  • Eligible to work in Canada
