Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic individual who excels at fostering positive relationships with tenants. You are a forward-thinking problem solver and master multi-tasker with a strong work ethic. You will

  • Take ownership of day-to-day operations, balancing tenant service, building performance, and business objectives for a portfolio of commercial properties
  • Identify opportunities to improve property performance, tenant experience, and operational efficiency
  • Establish strong relationships with tenants and provide a proactive, exemplary level of service
  • Contract and manage the performance of third-party service contractors/trades ensuring the business plan standards are achieved
  • Lead and oversee the performance of in-house support staff
  • Conduct regular property inspections and ensure properties have great curb appeal
  • Prepare and execute the annual operating and capital budgets and monthly financial reporting
  • Oversee the rent collection process and initiate appropriate action as required to collect arrears
  • Coordinate tenant move-ins and move outs and work with construction team on tenant build-outs or Landlord’s work
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is scheduled and completed, and implement the Property Management platform at all properties
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Work collaboratively with other team members in leasing, asset management, construction, accounting, and development and all other stakeholders
  • Be on call for property emergencies

 

You have 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing commercial real estate
  • A hands-on, proactive approach with a willingness to jump in where needed
  • Strong critical thinking & problem solving skills 
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and Excel, and Yardi (an asset)
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • An active BC Real Estate license (an asset)

Pay range: $85,000 - $100,000 annually
