To qualify, you will need a Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering degree (or a Technician diploma) and strong proficiency with 2D AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks. A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical system design, drafting, and hands-on manufacturing environments will also be essential.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Experience with casting, machining, and assembly processes
- A broad understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electro-hydraulic systems
- Mechanical engineering calculations (stress, fatigue, thermal, material selection, pressure vessels)
- Strong technical communication skills (written and verbal)
- Working experience with Maritime Classification Societies
- Marine, hydraulics, amusement ride, or similar niche industry experience
As our ideal candidate, you will possess problem-solving skills, a hands-on mechanical mindset, and the ability to determine how components fit and function together. You bring a practical, solutions-oriented approach, and the drive to help streamline processes in a fast-paced engineering environment.
This is a role for someone who loves to build, troubleshoot, and improve, whether you come from a marine, hydraulics, or niche mechanical background.
