Mechanical Assembler

Express Employment Professionals in Delta/Richmond is recruiting for a Mechanical Assembler for our client in Delta. This is a full-time/permanent direct hire position for the qualified individual. This opportunity may also lead to a great opportunity to go into field service internationally!

SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experience of assembly of pumping systems, meters, filters, and hoses for water and fuel pumps
- Testing and checking for pressures and leaks and writing out test reports
- Good with hand & power tools
- Read gauges & meters
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision
- Ability to understand and install wiring
- Fabrication experience
- Welding steel an asset but not required
- MUST be able to read blueprints

Shift: Days; Monday - Thursday (4 X 10)
Hours: 7:00AM - 5:30PM
Pay Rate: $Duties include but are not limited to.
The assembly of light sheet metal, plastic, and or extruded details and components.
The assembly of medium weight metal, plastic, and or extruded details and components.
The assembly of light (DC) electrical components and wiring.
The ability to solder DC electrical connections.
The movement and packing of assembled products.
Operation of grommet installation equipment.
Some general labour.

Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent education
Mechanically inclined.
Demonstrated ability to utilize hand tools and small power tools for fabrication and assembly.
Prefer experience with metal or electrical component assembly
Good communication skills.
Good organization skills.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Good quality in workmanship.
Willing to work shifts (Days: Mon - Thurs 7:00 a.m to 5:30 p.m. or 5:15 p.m. to 3:45 a.m)

Wages:
$18.00 up to $23.00 per hour based on experience and demonstrated skills. Premium added for shift work.
