Position Summary
Are you interested in an opportunity to grow professionally within a positive and progressive culture? Northern Health is seeking a champion with management and leadership experience to join our Specialized Services department.

The Manager, Specialized Services is responsible for specialized inpatient and community specialized services. The Manager promotes the vision, mission and values, and strategic direction of Northern Health including a commitment to the Primary Care Home as the foundation for team based health care. The Manager is responsible for service delivery, quality assurance, operational planning, policies and procedures, utilization and risk management, outcome evaluation, and budget control measures.

Starting salary will be approximately from $132,169 to $163,073 and will be based on education, training, experience, reporting structure and salaries of similar positions.

Qualfications
• Master's degree in a health related discipline plus a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in health services, including at least three (3) years in a leadership role, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid BC Driver's License.

Skills and Abilities:
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills in assessment, care planning, service delivery, and the involvement of individuals and families, groups and communities in their health care.
• Knowledge in the areas of risk management, relevant legislation, research, quality improvement, service contracts, and computer applications.
• Ability to analyze situations, problems and underlying processes and resolve problems.
• Ability to guide teams towards group cohesion and effectiveness.
• Ability to introduce and manage change that is consistent with the vision, purpose and operating principles of Northern Health.
• Ability to communicate effectively, using a variety of mediums.
• Ability to operate technological equipment as needed.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of the position.
