We have an amazing opportunity for a Manager in one of our Richmond Living Options Programs. This talented and motivated leader ensures that the residence provides a home-like setting which creates a comfortable living space with opportunities for each individual to develop life skills to the limits of their desire and potential. This role encourages the active participation of parents, siblings and outside friends in the lives of the clients. JOB TITLE: Manager
SERVICE AREA: Living Options
LOCATION: Richmond
START DATE: As soon as possible
TERM/STATUS: Permanent Full Time
SCHEDULE/HRS: Mon/Fri 08:00-15:30, Tues/Wed 08:30-16:00, Thurs 09:30-17:00 // 37.5 hours per week
HOURLY WAGE: $33.77-$38.77

THE ROLE:

The Manager ensures the group home setting provides a home-like, comfortable living space and opportunities for individuals to develop life skills to their desire and potential.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience:

    • Degree or Diploma in Social Sciences and/or degree or diploma in training people with developmental disabilities.
    • 2 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in their home.
    • Experience supporting individual with diverse and complex needs using a person-centered, individualized approach
    • Experience using augmentative and alternative forms of communication.
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully implement instructional and other support programs for adults.
    • Flexible to adjust schedule when needed
    • 2 years of supervisory experience
    • Ability to work under pressure and with strict deadlines
    • Most be able to perform lifts and transfers of 40lbs
    • Positive behaviour and support training preferred

Standard requirements 

    • Valid First Aid/CPR
    • Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certification
    • Demonstrated competency in English
    • Computer proficiency
    • Criminal Record Clearance
    • Medical Clearance
    • TB Test Clearance
    • Class 5 driver's license
    • Satisfactory Driver's Abstract
    • Eligible to work in Canada
