Lead Structural Engineer

We're looking for a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered in British Columbia and Alberta who thrives on problem-solving, values strong client relationships, and takes pride in delivering practical engineering solutions.

What you must have

¨      Valid Registered Professional Engineer seal in BC and Alberta

¨      Currently residing in the lower mainland

¨      Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering

¨      Experience with wood-frame construction and residential projects

¨      Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset

What you’ll bring to the team

• Perform structural analysis and design for residential, light commercial, and agricultural projects
• Prepare structural reports, calculations, drawings, and technical documents
• Review, seal, and issue engineering documents for new projects
• Collaborate with technical staff, clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Provide construction support, site reviews, and attend occasional site meetings
• Contribute to a variety of building and component designs, including:
  • Engineered wood systems
  • Trusses and beams
  • Greenhouses
  • Awnings
  • Overhead doors and gates
  • Home renovations
  • Residential and commercial properties

What we’re looking for

• A good standing P. Eng with a valid BC and Alberta Seal (required)
• Minimum 6+ years of structural engineering experience
• Experience with residential single-family homes
• Knowledge of wood, steel, and concrete design
• Proficiency with the BC and Alberta Building Code
• Experience with AutoCAD (preferred)
• Experience with WoodWorks software (preferred)
• Valid BC Driver’s License
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to teamwork
