Role Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Technology, ERP, the Lead, ERP Testing (North America) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and accomplishing testing activities across ERP implementations, upgrades, and improvements including integrations into adjacent systems. This role ensures the quality and reliability of ERP systems by leading a team of testers and collaborating with multi-functional technology and functional teams.

The Lead, ERP Testing (North America) will help define and develop the testing plan for SAP S/4HANA. They will also complete the plan for other SAP systems like Ariba, SuccessFactors, and Concur, including integration points. They will guide decisions on inventing test plans and standards enterprise-wide. They assist multi-functional teams in following test plans. This helps ensure SAP S/4HANA and its cloud systems are deployed securely and scalably. The solutions meet business continuity needs and support transformation goals. They will work seamlessly with LATAM team members to ensure testing is done across the geographies for the ERP systems and applications in scope of the transformation program.

This is an initial 12-month contract to start with strong possibility of extension based on program needs.

Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures

Test Strategy & Planning & Governance:

  • Define the overall testing strategy, governance, scope, and objectives for SAP projects and Non-SAP projects holistically.
  • Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate test environment setup and test data preparation.

Execution & Management

  • Lead and manage system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.
  • Lead all aspects of testing and defect management using tools like CloudALM, Tricentis, Azure Dev Ops, ServiceNow etc.
  • Monitor testing progress and ensure timely delivery of quality outcomes.
  • Lead and coordinate all testing types within the program scope. This includes test automation, performance, stress, and negative testing across the organization.

Team Leadership

  • Lead a group of testers, assign tasks, and mentor junior team members.
  • Ensure alignment with testing standards and consistent application of guidelines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all testing and quality assurance activities.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with SAP functional consultants, developers, and business collaborators.
  • Provide regular status updates, test summaries, and defect reports.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree required in computer or applied science, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in ERP testing roles with previous experience leading technical teams.
  • Strong functional knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., FI, MM, SD, HR) and Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and ECC, Ariba, SuccessFactors, Concur.
  • Expertise in test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Superb communication and leadership skills.
  • Expertise in designing and managing testing flows across platforms.
  • Understands the security implications of system configuration and ensures compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Strong ability to engage with different business units and external partners to ensure successful testing planning and execution.
  • Able to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams to achieve cohesive integrated testing plans.
  • Able to envision future testing needs and align them with business objectives.
  • Anticipates testing challenges and mitigates them before they impact the project.
  • Dedicated to delivering solutions that deliver against transformation objectives.
  • Clearly and effectively communicates technical concepts to both technical and non-technical collaborators.
  • Careful and detailed: pays close attention to the intricacies of technical implementation and integrations, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
