Ready to Make an Impact? Join our dynamic Buildings group as a Junior Building Science Consultant, where you'll play a key role in evaluating and restoring building envelope assemblies. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to projects that enhance the performance and sustainability of buildings across Canada. Your Impact
- Apply engineering knowledge to building envelope restoration and capital planning projects.
- Assist engineers with building envelope condition evaluations and site reports.
- Conduct construction and site reviews, monitoring the quality of building repairs.
- Liaise with contractors, sub-consultants, and other engineering disciplines.
- Contribute to contract administration on construction projects.
- Take responsibility for project tasks, deliverables, and outcomes.
- Apply sustainable thinking and practices within project delivery.
- Contribute to knowledge systems within the building science practice.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering, Building Sciences, Architectural Science, or Applied Science.
- Demonstrated passion for building sciences, building envelope technology, or building construction.
- Preferably 1-2 years of previous work experience in Building Science or a related field.
- Previous co-op or summer work experience in the construction or engineering industry related to buildings is ideal.
- Collaborative team player, energetic and adaptable to shifting priorities.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Valid Canadian driver's license.
Compensation
- BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $73,400 - $97,200
- MB & ON: $67,000 - $92,200
- Atlantic Provinces & QC: $66,300 - $88,000
