Location: Burnaby, BC

Position Overview 

We are seeking a Junior Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to our Executive Leadership Team. This hybrid position requires working onsite at our Dominion location in Burnaby two days per week. 

The Junior Administrative Assistant provides day-to-day administrative and coordination support to two members of the executive team. This entry-level role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who is looking to grow their administrative career while supporting executive operations, communications, and office management activities. The role contributes to the smooth flow of information, effective scheduling, and completion of routine and ad hoc administrative tasks. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Schedule and manage meetings and other calendar events, including sending and accepting electronic invitations, as well as creating and distributing relevant materials in advance. 

  • Participate in team, management, and executive meetings, take and distribute minutes and action items, and follow up on their completion. 

  • Coordinate scheduling and calendar management, as well as content and flow of information to senior executives. 

  • Being the point of contact for general communications for the Executives they support  

  • Assist in drafting and sending communications and correspondence. 

  • Create, manage, and file monthly expenses. 

  • Assist with travel arrangements and keep track of itineraries. 

  • Complete reports and assist with special projects as requested. 

  • Assist with general office management duties. 

  • Provide general administrative duties as requested 


Qualifications & Skills :

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 

  • 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or office support role (or relevant education combined with experience). 

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail. 

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams). 

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a professional manner. 

 

Preferred:

  • Post-secondary education in business administration or a related field. 

  • Experience supporting managers or executives in a professional environment. 

  • Familiarity with expense management and basic travel coordination.

Compensation: The range for this role for BC residents is $40,500 - $50,000/year. Please note, while the pay range of the role is listed here, this position’s salary is non-negotiable based on geographical market. Your exact salary is determined based on a combination of your relevant experience, skill, competencies, and internal pay equity.
