Shape the world around you - as part of our highly regarded Environmental Management team in British Columbia, you'll join one of the largest and most experienced hydrogeology groups in BC and the Yukon. This is your chance to work on projects that matter, from groundwater supply development and protection to contaminant hydrogeology and aquifer characterization.
Your Impact
- Deliver hydrogeological assessments that inform sustainable water management strategies for communities and industries.
- Design and implement conceptual and numerical groundwater flow models to support environmental impact assessments and operational water plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects in mining, oil & gas, aggregates, and beyond.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to building technical excellence within the team.
- Engage directly with clients, preparing proposals and delivering impactful presentations.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Geology, Environmental Sciences, Civil, Geological or Environmental Engineering with a specialization in groundwater modelling; or equivalent analytical background.
- 3-4+ years of applied experience in hydrogeology and groundwater modelling, with proficiency in tools such as FEFLOW, HydroGeoSphere, MODFLOW, SeepW.
- Strong technical foundation in numerical modelling and hydrogeological assessments.
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer or Geoscientist with EGBC.
- Familiarity with GIS platforms, visualization tools (ArcGIS, Leapfrog, ParaView), and programming experience in Python; exposure to AI/machine learning is an asset.
Compensation
BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $80,800 - $107,000
MB & ON: $73,700 - $101,500
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $73,000 - $96,900
