Reporting to t he Lead Advisor, Operational HR, the Contracting Out Coordinator will be responsible for the administration of contracting out and the contracting out incident database relative to the language in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

We are looking for adetail-orientedContracting Out Coordinatorwith a passion for creating a fair, positive working environment andassistingwith thefacilitation ofcommunication between bargaining agentsand supervision. The ideal candidate willexhibita passion forfindinginnovative ways to resolve disputeswhile achieving resolutions that support business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Oversees the administrative tasks of the contracting out incident (COI) database.
  • Schedule, participate in and ensure that the correct attendees are available to attend the meeting.
  • Maintain clear, comprehensive notes for each COI notice meeting and ensure they are properly stored in both digital and physical formats as required.
  • Monitor actions from the COI Notice meetings which include: Ensuring commitments are met, following up on recommendations of recapturing the work, timelines and others.
  • Manage the grievance process end to end, including receiving, logging, and securely storing e-grievances; maintaining and organizing the grievance database; scheduling meetings; and participating in Stage 2 and Stage 3 contracting-out grievance meetings through to response and resolution.
  • Data Management andAnalysis ofall Contracting Out Information which include managingand accuratelymaintainingthe contracting outportionof theDatabase
  • Helps in managing the JCOC as a routine by coordinating deliverable which include action items,minutesandschedulingofthejoint Contracting Out Committee (JCOC) (i.e.attend and take meeting minutes / support follow up and action items)
  • Support procurement in getting Avetta union / non-union status up topar
  • Review and organize digital and paper files related to 30-day notice meetings, JCOC, and grievances related to contractingout
  • Perform other related duties asassigned

Qualifications

  • Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources
  • 2-3 years of experience working in Human Resources
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite® including Word and Excel
  • Experience in or working knowledge of applicable employment law and legislation
  • Experience working with HRIS is considered an asset
  • Previous experience in or exposure to working in a unionized environment considered an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional relationship building skills
  • Ability to operate with very high levels of integrity and confidentiality
  • Professional HR designation such as CPHR, or working towards this designation, considered an asset

Salary Range: CAD $83,000 - $103,000 per year

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
