The Department of Psychology is seeking a Coordinator for the Douglas College
Applied Psychology BA Program. This internal faculty position has a 3/8 time release.
A Ph.D. in Psychology is required
Additional Information
This limited-term faculty coordinator position will start September 1st for an initial one year term, with the possibility of an extension(s) up to a maximum of three years. The position carries a 3 section(s) time release for the 2025-2026 academic year.
This position may require travel between the New Westminster and Coquitlam campuses.

WHAT IT TAKES
The Department of Psychology is seeking a Coordinator for the Douglas College
Applied Psychology BA Program. This internal faculty position has a 3/8 time release.
• Participate in the recruitment of students into the Douglas College Applied Psychology
• BA Program
• Collaborate with Marketing and Communications on advertising and promotion
• Review and revise content for the BA program on the Psychology Department website
• Review and revise information material for new and existing students
• Conduct information sessions each semester prior to course registration dates
• Provide content for and review promotional materials
• Respond to program enquiries
• Collect and evaluate information on the nature and progress of all Douglas College
• Applied Psychology students
• Liaise with Douglas College Academic Advisors and the Registrars to establish
• admission standards and graduation requirements
• Liaise with other Douglas College Departments in operation of the BA and its
• specializations
• Liaise with the Chair of Psychology about course offerings and to ensure sufficient
• offerings are available in required and upper level courses
• Liaise with the Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, as required
• Provide guidance to Applied Psychology BA students on course selection to meet
• program requirements
• Advise Associate of Arts Psychology students on Applied Psychology BA offerings and
• admission requirements
• Evaluate the program and make recommendations to relevant groups to improve
• student success, program quality, and recruitment
• Participate in formal internal and external program evaluation, if and as required
• Post and review the departmental applications for BA Honours students.
• Coordinate and communicate with BA Honours supervisors
