Job Description:

We are currently looking to hire an Electronic QC Inspector, for our electronic manufacturing facility located in the Lower Mainland area.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection using a microscope of PCB’s after they are put through the reflow oven
  • Inspect product for defects such as missing components, solder bridges and insufficient solder
  • Rework and repair any product that is defective using hot air and soldering iron
  • Review and inspect all incoming data prepared by the customer (BOM/Assembly instructions) for sufficient assembly of PCBs
  • Verify and resolve root cause of issues with SMT Operator
  • Discuss issues as they arise with supervisor to reduce failure rate
  • Repair incoming RMAs and analyze for root cause
  • Perform final inspections on product prior to shipping
  • Perform various testing following test procedures
  • Ensure product meets standards and documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Hand solder SMT components and thru hole components 

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical background or related experience (2-3 years)
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610
  • Knowledge of component identification
  • Knowledge of hand soldering, including rework of small components such as 0402 and fine pitch IC’s
  • Knowledge of how to use test equipment such as an Ohm meter and a oscilloscope would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of component handling and ESD requirements
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination
  • Willing to learn and identify new solutions.
  • Able to work independently and within a team
  • Able to use a microscope for most of the working day
  • Able to sit most of the working day
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to perform consistently in a self directed manner
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Fine motor skills, dexterity, and accuracy sufficient to meet the skills required above

 

This is a fulltime position Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm 

Salary is open depending on current working experience 

Benefits package is available after 3 months, with Extended Health Care 

Overtime, Weekend availability as needed, with flexible Schedule
