Dispatcher and Office Administration

Major Welding is a welding fabrication shop which dispatches 30+ welders with mobile rigs to various sites. Our focus is delivering top quality, clean work on tight timelines. We are looking for a Dispatcher with strong communication, organizational and office skills to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch rig welders and field crews to site
- Coordinate shop work, mobile work, shutdowns, and project timelines
- Front reception, answering incoming calls and emails
- Set up jobs and new customer profiles in Service Fusion
- Maintain and monitor WCB and keep certification records current
- Track and direct equipment, trucks, tools and consumables
- Order/purchase materials and schedule shipping
- Input job tickets and contractor bills
- Collect specific details from customers related to dispatch requirements
- Support overall operational planning as project loads shift and priorities change
Requirements
- Someone with strong scheduling and organizational skills
- A direct and efficient communicator
- A problem-solver who can pivot quickly and be resourceful
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Previous experience in trade industry —welding, fabrication, construction, mechanical, manufacturing, etc.
- Comfortable with dispatching programs such as Service Fusion or Service Titan
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word and MS Projects
