Horizon Recruitment Inc. is partnered with a respected non-profit organization to recruit a Director of Finance for a high-impact, strategic leadership role. This position sits at the management level and is ideal for a finance professional who thrives on strategic planning, financial leadership, and organizational transformation.

As Director of Finance, you’ll lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling efforts while owning treasury and cash flow strategy. You’ll play a central role in analytics reporting, ERP transformation, and cross-departmental planning — all while contributing to the long-term financial vision of a mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities:

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making
Oversee cash forecasting, investment, and treasury management
Deliver timely and insightful analytics reporting, including variance analysis and financial performance summaries
Establish and track KPIs across departments to support organizational performance goals
Participate in annual planning processes and contribute to organization-wide goal setting
Guide the finance department through process improvements and resource planning
Provide leadership on the implementation of a new ERP system (replacement of Sage 300)
Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects
Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable financial, regulatory, and reporting standards
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the board on all financial matters

Requirements:

CPA designation required; additional certifications (e.g. CFA, MBA) considered an asset
10+ years of progressive experience in finance, including strategic leadership and departmental management
Strong experience in non-profit, public sector, or complex multi-stakeholder environments
Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Strong background in financial modelling, analytics, and KPI development
Experience leading or participating in an ERP implementation
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Collaborative leadership style and a strong sense of accountability
Must be available to work in-office at least 2 days per week

Rewards:

$130,000 - $150,000
