Position Summary
Are you interested in an opportunity to grow professionally within a positive and progressive culture? Northern Health is seeking a Director with significant management and leadership experience to join our Population and Public Health department.

In accordance with the established vision, mission, values and strategic priorities of Northern Health (NH), the Director, Immunization Operations is accountable for operations and quality improvement of NH immunization services focused on achievement of objectives laid out for the Immunization Task Force. The Director, Immunization Operations provides direction to, seeks consultation from, collaborates/communicates with and coordinates, a team of ~15 staff assigned to the immunization task force who remain in their home departments in NH.

Starting salary will be approximately from $130,864 to $163,579 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Qualfications
• Master's degree in relevant discipline plus a minimum of ten (10) years recent, related experience in public health and leadership roles, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Recent experience as an immunizer preferred.
• For regulated health care professional candidates current full practicing registration with the applicable provincial College or Association is required.

• Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and with others and to lead, participate and facilitate inter-professional groups in a collaborative environment with multiple interests.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills and the ability to apply these skills in potentially emotionally charged situations.
• Strong organizational skills, client focused orientation, and commitment to providing quality services.
• Demonstrated advanced ability to plan, organize, prioritize workload, set and accomplish objectives in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative relationships with a wide range of interested and affected parties internally and externally.
• Ability to coordinate and influence multiple internal partners around a common goal and strategy.
• Ability to operate and coordinate efforts at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to manage change and problem-solve complex issues toward innovative solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate inter-professional groups in a collaborative environment with multiple interests.
• Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills and the ability to apply these skills in potentially emotionally charged situations. Works independently and effectively under time constraints to meet deadlines, balance work priorities, and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Ability to conduct evidence reviews and synthesize evidence into plans and actionable recommendations and direction.
• Knowledge of social determinants of health and their impact on health outcomes.
• Understanding of BC's immunization program and standards and NH public health service delivery.
• Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources.
