Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed Coordinator to support the Finance department.
The Coordinator, Finance is responsible for planning, coordinating and leading the day to-day functions of a given Financial Operations & Reporting department (e.g. General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Capital Services, and/or Physician's Compensation). The incumbent is part of the leadership team responsible for financial services, including financial analysis, planning and advice. The Coordinator is responsible for the development of policies and procedures ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of accounting services. The Coordinator, Finance is also responsible for coordinating and communicating financial activities and results to leadership, completing external reports and assisting in compiling reports and analysis for the Ministry of Health and other various stakeholders.
Starting salary will be approximately from $74,618 to $93,273 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
Qualfications
• Professional accounting designation (CPA) plus a minimum of five (5) years of diversified accounting experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity within a large organization with an emphasis on financial processing, financial systems and reporting, and extensive experience with complex computer systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Experience working in a medical or health care environment an asset.
