They will work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to understand what is required, identify documentation and system changes, and help implement new ways of working. This role will suit someone who enjoys figuring out complex problems, digging into regulations, asking questions, and turning new requirements into clear processes. Strong SAP knowledge on the commercial, procurement to pay side will be particularly important.

Responsibilities

  • Help implement requirements related to the provincial and fedral regulations and applicable legislation
  • Review legislation, guidance, and external advice to understand how new requirements affect existing contracts, procurement, and contractor payment processes
  • Re-negotiate existing contracts where required

  • Develop processes for collecting required information and supporting documentation from contractors and subcontractors
  • Support the preparation and administration of documentation required to qualify for applicable rebate programs
  • Work with contract management teams to introduce new contract requirements, documentation, and controls
  • Assess current SAP processes and identify changes needed to support changes
  • Partner with finance, supply chain, contracts, and other stakeholders to implement consistent processes
  • Streamline procure to pay processes and minimize workflow issues
  • Educate internal teams on new requirements and help them adopt updated processes
  • Coordinate activities, questions, decisions, and follow-ups across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Identify gaps or risks in existing processes and recommend practical solutions
  • Create clear procedures and documentation that make ongoing compliance easier to manage
  • Act as a change agent by helping teams understand what is changing, why it matters, and what they need to do differently

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on SAP experience within procurement, contracts, commercial management, or procure-to-pay processes
  • Experience working with commercial contracts, contractor payments, procurement, or supply chain processes
  • Financial literacy and the ability to understand tax, payment, and documentation requirements
  • Experience interpreting regulations, policies, contractual requirements, or other complex documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to translate new requirements into workable business processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Project coordination or project management experience
  • Experience supporting process implementation and organizational change
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Curious and resourceful approach, with the ability to ask the right questions and quickly learn unfamiliar subject matter
  • Comfortable working through detailed documentation and following requirements through to implementation
  • Ability to work independently in an environment where the solution may not be clearly defined at the outset
  • Experience in a large industrial, energy, construction, infrastructure, or similarly complex organization would be an asset
  • Previous exposure to tax credit programs, regulatory implementation, prompt payment requirements, or contractor compliance would be an asset

Remuneration

  • $60-$70/hr
