JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant | #2108
SERVICE AREA: Administration
LOCATION: Richmond, BC
START DATE: As soon as possible
TERM/STATUS: Permanent Full Time
SCHEDULE/HRS: Monday to Friday 08:30 am - 04:30 pm // 37.5 hours per week
HOURLY WAGE: $26.64 as per collective agreement

THE ROLE:

The Administrative Assistant will enhance the public image of the Association by welcoming and assisting visitors to the Head Office. They will also provide efficient and effective reception, switchboard, administrative support, and support services to the Association’s various departments.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience:

  • Grade Twelve (diploma in Office Assistant/Admin. Professional preferred)
  • Recent office experience working with MS Office Suite and variety of computer software and able to type accurately at a minimum of 60 w.p.m.
  • Experience with data entry and use of databases
  • 2 years of secretarial/ admin assistant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to respond/communicate with public and staff in a positive, professional and courteous mature manner.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidence.

Standard requirements of the Administrative Assistant include:

  • Criminal Record Clearance
  • Medical Clearance
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficiency working with a variety of office equipment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to respond/communicate with public and staff in a positive, professional and courteous mature manner.
  • Ability to effectively organize work and multi-task
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
