Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Accounting Manager to support a fast-growing technology company operating across multiple international markets. This leadership role exists to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and operational alignment as the business expands. You’ll work closely with the Controller and other stakeholders to improve financial processes, drive reporting efficiency, and help integrate newly acquired operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements for subsidiaries
- Manage international regulatory accounting and tax filing requirements
- Lead the consolidation of financial data across global entities
- Improve accounting systems and drive automation across processes
- Maintain internal controls and update accounting policies and procedures
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Analyze and document complex accounting issues under IFRS
- Review contracts in collaboration with legal for accounting implications
- Oversee internal transfer pricing calculations
- Liaise with auditors and other external partners
- Help manage daily cash balances across jurisdictions
- Support post-acquisition financial integration efforts
- Mentor and develop accounting team members
- Align financial operations with broader business goals
Requirements
- Canadian CPA designation (or equivalent)
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Experience in the technology sector is an asset
- Proven ability to manage multi-entity and multi-currency accounting
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Remuneration
- $125,000 - $140,000 Base + Bonus
