$71,846 - $115,129 annually. Placement on the faculty salary scale is based on education, professional certification and experience and will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

WHAT IT TAKES
The Academic Technology and Curriculum ( ATC ) Coordinator is a key technology leader, communicator, and troubleshooter dedicated to advancing the academic and operational goals of the Academic Division. In particular, the ATC Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth function and use of Curriculum Navigator and the Academic Integrity Module.
Reporting to the Vice President, Academic and Provost, this role involves the implementation and maintenance of IT applications managed by the Academic Division, including but not limited to:
Curriculum Navigator (CN):
The ATC Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that CN is regularly maintained and functioning efficiently. Tasks associated with this responsibility are:
• Installing new versions/updates of CN software.
• Providing technical and workflow fixes as needed.
• Liaising with the CN vendor (Granius) as needed.
• Providing IT support for CN, as Information Technology Services ( ITS ) is not responsible for CN.
• Collaborating with ITS to communicate system availability and status changes.
• Collaborating with all applicable business partners (i.e., ITS , Granius, Safety, Security and Risk Management, etc.) to plan for and execute business continuity and recovery activities.
• Collaborating with Enrolment Services to ensure compatibility of CN applications and reconciliation of programs, curriculum information, graduation requirements, etc., across applications.
• Collaborating with the Marketing and Communication Office to ensure compatibility between CN applications and the College website.
• Collaborating with VPA's Administrative Team and Faculties' Administrative Officers to update and maintain proper user rights in CN.
• Serving as a member of the Learning Technology Steering Committee ( LTSC ).
• Monitoring and communicating through cn@douglascollege.ca email daily.
• Maintaining and developing content about CN on the DC Connect site (i.e., instructional documents and videos, Standard Operating Procedures, etc.)
• Providing CN training for individuals and groups.
• Liaising with EdCo Curriculum and Programs Committees to ensure alignment of CN features with curriculum development needs.
The ATC coordinator is responsible for supporting all new and returning students in navigating the module. Tasks associated with this responsibility are:
• Monitoring student and employee questions at aie@douglascollege.ca daily.
• Regularly communicating with students to ensure completion of the AIE module.
• Setting up and testing the Blackboard course for 3-5 sections per term.
• Monitoring student completion of AIE module and collating and entering grades into the Banner system.
• Collaborating with Academic Technology Services and Enrolment Services to ensure consistent operation of the AIE module.
• Troubleshooting technical issues with the AIE module.
• A minimum of 2 years of FTE service, 5 years preferred.
• A post-secondary credential in a computing or IT related field and demonstrated ability to manage technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum design and development.
• Demonstrated knowledge of college governance and educational policies.
• Demonstrated mastery of CN.
• Ability to work cooperatively, collaboratively, and constructively with faculty, staff and administrators.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve.
• Previous experience as academic chair or academic coordinator is considered an asset.
• Ability to program in Microsoft Excel and VBA is considered an asset.
• Ability to use data analytic tools (i.e. Power BI) is considered an asset.
The Academic Technology and Curriculum Coordinator position needs to be filled across the entire academic year (i.e., across three semesters). This position could be a shared position (for example, with one instructor covering two of the three semesters within an academic year and another instructor covering the third semester).
This position takes effect in Fall 2026 for an initial appointment of one year with the possibility of an extension of up to two years.
There are three (3) sections of time release associated with this position for the 2026-2027 academic year (1 section for each semester).
Available sections are identified each year.
