JOB OPPORTUNITY

Position Information

Location New Westminster Campus Salary Range
$71,846 - $115,129 annually. Placement on the faculty salary scale is based on education, professional certification and experience and will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
The Opportunity
The Coordinator reports to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration through the Director, Business Programs, and liaises with other Coordinators and Chairs to ensure quality delivery of MARK Programs. This position provides leadership to ensure that the MARK programs run smoothly and to plan and set goals. This role is open to current faculty only.

WHAT IT TAKES
QUALIFICATIONS TO APPLY :

    Regular faculty member in the department of Marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES :


Program Planning in Consultation with the Dean's Office

    • Liaises with the Director of Business Programs to plan program schedules for students.
    • Liaises with the Department chair, selection committee and Dean's office to ensure faculty
    • selection meets program needs.
    • Liaises with the Dean's office on any matters requiring planning and attention or financial support relevant to delivering quality programs.
Student Support

    • Coordinates program and career information sessions for students.
    • Ensures that calendar copy, website, program brochures and all other advertising materials are kept accurate and up-to-date.
    • Supports student recruitment initiatives and monitors results.
    • Coordinates admission procedures for students in consultation with relevant College departments.
    • Follows up on both accepted and non-accepted student inquiries in a timely manner.
    • Coordinates timetabling of programs and service courses in conjunction with the Chair.
    • Assists and counsels students on course and program selection queries and career opportunities.
    • Liaises with industry, Douglas College Career Centre, Marketing and Communications Office, and The Foundation and Alumni Relations to further relationships to connect students with industry opportunities.
    • Solicits feedback on programs from graduating students and initiates program revisions where applicable.
Program Academic Quality

    • Liaises with CBA faculty and the Director of Business Programs for the purpose of

      • establishing relationships with key professional organizations and industry bodies.
      • recruiting quality members to the Program Advisory Counsel, coordinating and conducting council meetings.
      • ensuring that program curriculum is consistent with academic, technical and ethical standards set by professional associations and the College.
      • conducting annual reviews and recommending revisions to faculty regarding programs to maintain and enhance academic and industry relevance.
Communications

    • Liaises with faculty and the Director of Business Programs for the purpose of establishing relationships with appropriate professional organizations and identifiable community interest groups as they relate to MARK programs.
    • Acts as a liaison between the programs and the public.
    • Uses excellent communication skills when interacting with faculty, staff and students and demonstrates ability to empathize when necessary.
Coordination/Administration

    • Ensures effective communication and liaison with the Dean and other College administrators, including submission of required reports on a timely basis.
    • Other related duties and/or special studies as required by the Dean.
    • Liaises with support staff team in establishing schedules and priorities to ensure that administrative and faculty work is processed in an orderly manner.
    • Liaises with departments and faculties throughout the College to enhance program opportunities for MARK students.
Additional Information
The Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration is seeking a Program Coordinator for the department of Marketing. This position takes effect September 1, 2026 for an initial one year term with the possibility of extension. This role has two (2) sections of time release available for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The primary place of work is the New Westminster campus.
