The Opportunity
WSP is currently seeking an Engineer - in - Training (EIT) or recent P.Eng. to join our Geotechnical team, located at our Vancouver, BC office.
In a regular day, you will:
Perform all aspects of geotechnical investigations for buildings, highways, bridges, retaining walls, slope stability, and municipal infrastructure.
Coordinate and carry out field review of construction works and material testing of geotechnical materials.
Assist senior team in preparing proposals and technical reports.
Conduct geotechnical engineering analysis.

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): $53,900 - $91,700

What' you'll bring to the team:
Required
- Post-graduate degree in Geo-Engineering discipline such as Geotechnical Engineering or Geological Engineering.
- Preference for experience in Geo-engineering field in Canada (not essential);
- Eligible to be working towards registration for P.Eng status with EGBC (or has recently achieved this); and,
- Prior experience in consulting geotechnical engineering is considered an asset.
Desirable
- A high level of proficiency with current geotechnical software applications.
- Unrestricted Class 5 Driver's License valid for use in the province of British Columbia.
- Strong technical, oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in seismic assessment considered an asset.
- Exceptional analytical and project management skills; and,
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, meet deadlines and cooperate with a team in various environment.
