The Corporate Operations Branch enables the achievement of MCFD's mandate by providing centralized, corporate operations support services to advance ministry strategic priorities and organizational transformation initiatives. Working collaboratively across the ministry, Corporate Operations provides strategic advice and leadership in the provision of centralized corporate functions including corporate planning, contract management, financial support services, workplace support services and emergency preparedness.

The Team Lead, Business Services leads a team to develop, manage and monitor business services delivery to the Ministry, the Division and the Branch. Specializing in navigating emerging priorities, multiple client requirements, and delivering superior timebound outcomes, the Team Lead is responsible for providing expertise and support to meet the strategic objectives of the ministry. To ensure that the Division and the Branch are continually positioned to provide critical services to Ministry partners which enables vital services delivery to the children, youth, young adults and families in BC, the Team Lead is responsible for leading the development and standardization of a centralized intake system, monitoring business procedures and service delivery outcomes.

Job Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline (e.g. business administration, public administration, financial management, information management) and a minimum of three (3) years of *related work experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • *Related work experience must include all of the following:
    • Experience building strategic partnerships and managing a broad network of contacts critical for program delivery.
    • Experience in application management with a focus on centralized system intake services delivery (e.g. JIRA Service Management).
    • Experience in undertaking research, policy and program analysis, and issues management.
    • Experience in preparing high quality decision and information materials and developing and delivering presentations to diverse internal and external audiences.
    • Experience planning, coordinating, managing and evaluating complex projects and work assignments.
    • Experience leading and supervising a multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts.

Preference may be given to candidates with:
  • Four (4) or more years *related work experience.
  • Master's degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience applying Information Governance and Data Governance best practices and frameworks.
  • Experience working in a large multidisciplinary organization focused on delivery of timebound service requirements to clients.
