Overview

• The Senior DevOps Specialist plans the execution of and drives advanced automation, continuous integration, and software delivery that unifies development and operations teams for faster and secure business results. • This is a hands-on role, leveraging experience in full product life cycle to deliver complex, major or highly visible tasks in support of multiple projects that require multiple areas of expertise.
Responsibilities

• Design and Develop Continuous Deployment pipelines • Aid in development of SLI to support SLO • Work with QA, Eng, and Ops to deploy highly tested and secure services • Stay abreast of new technologies and services • Proactively identify and resolve technical issues especially around delivery of services • Works independently to solve multi-faceted problems • Status reporting & presentations • Planning for long-range projects • Mentoring Dev/Sec Ops Engineers
Qualifications

• 5+ years professional experience in full product life cycle • Understanding of IaC and Immutable infrastructure concepts (Terraform) • Understanding of cloud architecture and services in multiple public clouds (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform) • Understanding of Containers and Container Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) • Experience with Security scanning and compliance tools • Experience in automation of code deployment across multiple cloud providers • Experience with at least one software configuration management system (Puppet, Ansible, Chef) • Experience with VM management (VMWare, KVM, OpenStack) • Experience with Orchestration and Automation Platform products (i.e. Concourse, Jenkins, Airflow, etc.) • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (BitBucket, GitLab) • Strong scripting skills (Python, Perl, Bash, Ansible, etc) • Strong analytic/troubleshooting skills • Strong understanding networking (IP, OSI stack, BGP) • Service provider experience a plus • Golang / Rust experience a plus • Experience with Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Redis, and PostgreSQL a plus • Able to collaborate and thrive in a dynamic environment.
