As the Purchaser, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of this organization. You will use your fantastic importing and negotiation skills as well as your analytical mindset to optimize costs and enhance procurement processes.

What You’ll Do

Update and maintain material costs and inventory information in the database
Distribute project material purchase orders
Review and report on product quality
Prepare procurement activity reports
Identify suppliers and vendors, negotiate prices as needed
Gather information pertaining to estimates and project pricing
Review procurement systems and identify areas for improvement
Work collaboratively on strategies to reduce inventory costs
Other duties as needed

What You Bring

At least 3 years of experience as a Purchaser/Buyer
Construction industry and electronics training experience are preferred
Experience in importing materials, working with customs brokers, and knowledgeable on HS tariff codes
Post-secondary education in purchasing, supply chain management or related field
Strong computer proficiency including experience with MS Office, experience with JD Edwards is beneficial\
Great negotiation and risk mitigation skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
