Organizational Profile
The BC First Nations Forestry Council (the Forestry Council) is a non-profit society that seeks to support and advocate for the role BC First Nations should play in the governance and stewardship of forest lands and resources, including access to an equitable share of the benefits derived from forestry activities within their traditional territories.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Executive Administrator + Board Liaison provides comprehensive administrative support to the CEO and acts as the primary liaison between the leadership, the Board of Directors, and Board Committees. This position builds collaborative relationships and inspires trust as they work closely across the organization and systems. In addition, this position is responsible for supporting the CEO’s internal and external engagements and administration, including calendar management, document and correspondence preparation, and engaging in various special projects.
This is a dynamic opportunity for an office administrator who is committed to advocating for the role that BC First Nations should play in the governance and stewardship of forest lands and resources. The ideal candidate will have a background in Business Administration, Operations Management, and/or related field. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years of demonstrated related experience providing executive assistance, including working with staff and a non-profit Board of Directors and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The salary range for this position is $63,000 - $72,000.
