Job Description

Express Employment Professionals - Cloverdale/Langley client, They are a leader in the manufacturing and distribution of Industrial Flooring/Grating and Expanded Metal Products throughout North America. They are seeking a young energetic yet mature worker to join their metal shop. They are most interested in someone new to the industry they can train - some experience would be an asset though.

At this Metal Shop, you will be trained to run a large brake press as a team with another operator (this is where you wil start your ourney), a smaller brake press alone, several sizes of Punch presses. how to work de-coilers, run an overhead crane, Forklift, Shears, how to be a Welders helper (and welder if desired) as well a multiple saws and other metal work machinery + tools.
You will ALSO be taught to Grind, drill press, perform die changes, and ship/receive product. in return you will receive a competitive wage, and a more than competitive benefits package and retirement plan.

This job will be physically demanding, so being fit is a must.

This shop consists of 8 other workers who are long term, for a small business feel; while being part of a large corporation with room for growth. There is very much opportunity for overtime. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to get into the steel industry and gain manufacturing experience. You will learn new things every day, and be part of a team that is over 2500 days safe.

-Reliable transportation required (No bus route)
-Working hours are 7-2:40 (Lunch is paid, and you leave 20 minutes early in lieu of other breaks) that is paid as an 8 hour day.
-Raise upon completion of probation period + Benefits/retirement/Quarterly production bonus
-Experience not necessary, but must have the ability to work safe while using power tools and machines
-Must be able to read a tape measure****** to 16th of an inch.
-PPE supplied by the workplace, But need your own high ankle steel-toes
