Job Description
Southern Interior Construction Association is a non-profit membership-based organization representing companies in the Institutional, Commercial, and Industrial construction sector. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Bookkeeper / Administrator is responsible for:
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESBookkeeping – full cycle of recording financial transactions up to the financial statements which includes:
- Accounts payable, accounts receivables (billing, collections); reconcile financial records; journal entries; bank deposits and reconciliations; GST and PST filing; yearend financial working papers.
Administrative Functions
Membership management
- Responsible for the accuracy and updating of all member information in database; assist with renewing current memberships; follow up with new, potential and resigned members; prepare and send out membership kits
Member service
- Reception tasks in taking phone calls and assisting members with requests.
- General administrative duties, or other duties assigned.
- At least three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience;
- Knowledge of SAGE50 software;
- Strong command of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
- Highly detail oriented; ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
