About Y2K Spitfire Restoration Project
The Y2K Spitfire Restoration Project is a partner of the Vintage Wings Foundation and is in the process of restoring a Mk IX Spitfire aircraft to flying condition in Comox. The AMO is located just outside the Base at 19 Wing Comox, (CFB Comox) next to the air park, and is also affiliated with the Comox Air Force Museum. This project is expected to last thirty months, with strong potential for follow on work.
