About Vancouver Native Housing Society

VNHS’ mandate is to provide safe, secure and affordable housing to meet the needs of the urban Aboriginal community including housing solutions for seniors, youth, women at risk, persons living with mental illness and the homeless and homeless at risk populations.

VNHS was founded in 1984 and owns or manages a portfolio of 19 building throughout Vancouver. VNHS houses approximately 8% of the urban Aboriginal population.

Vancouver Native Housing Society is a registered charity and is governed by an all Aboriginal Board of Directors.
