As a Windows systems engineer, you will implement best practice solutions and use your considerable knowledge Citrix/Windows/Virtualization to improve processes, designs, infrastructure as a code, DevOps practices and services. 

 

We practice a remote-first working model, leveraging in-person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you’ll do: 

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Citrix, Virtualization, Windows, and Cloud technologies to design best of breed Citrix, VM and Cloud solutions 

  • Provide operational support with an emphasis on task automation, infrastructure as a code including deployment maintenance, orchestrating, and monitoring systems

  • Researching, testing, and implementing new systems and technologies for automation

  • Contribute clear and concise environment and change documentation as well as standard operating practice documents (SOP’s) to the infrastructure platform body of knowledge 

  • Take part in sprint planning meetings, leveraging your significant technical expertise in resolving technical impediments. 

  • Provide guidance to IT and non-IT resources on the infrastructure/automation best practices 

  • Own investigation of infrastructure failures and provide resolution and root cause analysis 

  • Secure all organization’s infrastructure and apply vulnerability fixes 

  • Act as a key influencer in defining the department vision and mission and work to improve and implement functional strategy 

 

What we’re looking for: 

  • 3+ years experience with Citrix technologies and associated infrastructure and virtualization technologies like VMware ESX, Nutanix AHV etc. 

  • Experience with architecture and management of desktop virtualization technologies like Citrix XenDesktop & NetScaler (Citrix ADC) for large environments 

  • Experience writing automated deployment & configuration management scripts and assets. (ex. PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Azure DevOps) 

  • Experience with multi-datacenter architectures in a hybrid environment (On-premises & Cloud) 

  • Experience with centralized infrastructure monitoring and management tools
