Wills and Estates Legal Administrative Assistant

Compensation: $40,000-$55,000 per annum

JOB DESCRIPTION:
 
Reporting to a senior paralegal, your integral responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
 
  • Handling preparation of various Wills and Estates Documents (Wills, Enduring Power of Attorney, Representation Agreements and Trusts)
  • Opening and closing of files
  • Personal contact and communication with clients throughout the whole process with professional written and verbal correspondence

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Wills and Estates Legal Assistant position
  • LAA certificate
  • Proficiency with ALF software and BC Online
  • Working knowledge of WESA (Wills and Estates Succession Act 2014)

Technical Skills

  • Strong communication – both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • A highly professional demeanor that allows the client to feel relaxed and trusting with their legal needs is an integral trait for this position.
