We’re looking for a highly motivated Legal Administrative Assistant to support our client’s fantastic Estates Litigation group. Located in the beautiful city of Surrey, the position provides an opportunity to work with a vibrant and team-oriented group of people. The successful candidate will have more than 4-5+ years’ experience as an Estates Litigation LAA be energetic, flexible, highly motivated and driven to succeed. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior level candidate looking to work in a strong team, with a diverse range of Estate Litigation work. You will play an integral part of the team and the firm, as they duly ensure that you are properly supported every step of the way. We are also recruiting for a Estates Litigation LAA for our client located in Port Coquitlam.

Responsibilities

• Finalize and complete various estate planning documents as well as correspondents
• Liaise professionally with all internal and external clients
• Handle administrative details with respect to maintaining contacts, e-filing, client list, accounting, opening and closing files and billing, etc.
• Calendar management including arranging meetings
• Assist with vault coordinator duties (including; scanning, creating report books, data entry into wills database etc.)
• The ability to be flexible to the changing demands of the job
• Maintain calendars and book appointments
• Organize files, client documents and other file-related materials
• Prepare billing statements and follow up on outstanding accounts and payments
• Other general administrative duties as required

Education and Qualifications

• Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) certification
• 3-5+ years of previous experience as an Estates/W&E LAA
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate at all levels of an organization, internally and externally
• Strong technical skills
• Excellent organizational skills and, attention to detail;
• The ability to prioritize a high volume of tasks and competing priorities in a time sensitive environment
