We are West Fraser
You'll Do:
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure reliable and consistent operation of equipment.
- Perform maintenance on pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers, chains, bearings and hydraulic equipment involved in the manufacturing process.
- Undertake preventative maintenance activities on equipment.
- Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to repair equipment.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, setup and repair activities.
- Repair and assemble hydraulic equipment and cylinders.
- Verify and document completed repairs.
You Have:
- Valid Journeyperson Welding Certification.
- Three or more years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to prioritize daily and weekly tasks.
- The knowledge and skills to recognize opportunities for improvements and cost savings.
