Position Opportunity -  Warehouse Material Handler- Afternoon Shift

Established in 1971 and headquartered in Langley, British Columbia, Primex Manufacturing Ltd. (Primex) is a molder of plastic injection products. From its roots as a small custom injection molder and through the combination of Primex’s predecessor companies, Vanguard Plastics, Premo Plastics and VPL Enterprises Ltd., Primex has developed broad capabilities in the design, engineering and mold fabrication of a number of proprietary, patented in-house plastic products.

Primex is searching for a Warehouse Material Handler to work in our Plastic Inject Molding Manufacturing Plant. This role requires shift work on the Afternoon Shift (2:30pm-11pm). This role pays $15.68 per hour to start. After 3 month probationary period this positon increases to $15.98 per hour. Afternoon shift is also entitled to a 5% shift premium as well.  Afternoon shift is 2:30pm-11pm and all new hires complete 2 weeks of orientation and training on Day shift to start. Day shift is 6:30am - 3pm.


  • Participate with a positive attitude while working with fellow team members to ensure plant orderliness, cleanliness and safety.
  • Ensure all resins and dyes mixed or handled are the correct part number and or product for the desired application.
  • Practice safe and careful handling habits of all plant tools and equipment, for example, loaders, dryers, mixers, grinders, small hand tools, etc; and always ensuring to return item to it’s proper place.

Job Responsibilties

  • Listen and follow the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, and take guidance from senior team members.
  • Assist with the physical organization of inventory.
  • Return inventory items to the proper locations.
  • Understand the schedule and the inventory requirements to keep production on schedule.
  • Assist materials handlers with picking items required for production.
  • Produce and apply appropriate signage to the different types of inventory.
  • Update all related inventory data.
  • Ensure work areas are clean and tidy at the end of each day.
  • Ensure accurate and timely storage of product in the warehouse.
  • When necessary to move product from one bin location to another, ensure this is done with communication with the Warehouse Supervisor and other warehouse staff.
  • Prepare materials for production materials handlers as required for production.
  • Pace the completion of all inventory preparation activities to be complete in time for its required use in production.

Education Requirements:

  • Good reading and writing skills essential.
  • Good communication skills essential.
  • Good mathematical skills essential
  • Previous forklift experience desirable.
