Volunteer Project Manager - Closes March 8, 2019 at 12pm

Location: North Vancouver

Annex Consulting welcomes opportunities to give back to the community. To that effect, we are working with a non-profit organization in the volunteer sector to recruit a volunteer Project Manager. Annex is helping to provide visibility to this worthwhile organization's search for volunteers on a no-fee basis. We will gather and forward applications directly to this organization.

Destination Imagination is a hands-on, project-based educational experience that encourages creativity, collaboration, communication and critical thinking skills. Each year seven new STEAM Challenges are created by our teams of content experts and educators to help students from K to Grade 12 learn HOW to think, not WHAT to think. Destination Imagination applies the creative process to help student teams create their own unique solutions to the requirements posed by the Challenges.

Scope of Work
  • Organize the development of the Feasibility Study, working with organization staff to map out schedule
  • Perform tasks as required including research into alternate approaches and best practices
  • Supervise development of feasibility plan findings
  • Supervise development of presentation for the Board of Directors
  • Manage ongoing work throughout, keeping team members on task


Find an alternative approach to finding enough individuals to support all competing student project teams in BC.

  • Development of a Feasibility Study

Required Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of project management experience
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with K-12 education sector is desirable
  • Experience with not-for-profit sector, fund-raising is desirable


The Affiliate Director will provide a letter of recommendation to the PM volunteer at the successful conclusion of the project and serve as a reference if appropriate.

Start: March 11, 2019

Duration: 3 months
