A career in our Immigration Law practice will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients manage their immigration needs.
As a U.S. Immigration Law Clerk, you will deliver high-volume immigration processes in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment that will carefully and efficiently manage the end to end process of various non-immigrant (temporary) and immigrant (permanent residence) visas. You will also help our clients gain maximum value on their immigration and mobility strategies. What you'll create and do
As a Law Clerk, you'll work as part of a team dedicated to developing and preparing timely filed immigration applications for various companies and their employees. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities include but are not limited to Develop strong client relationships and engage directly with clients. Deliver high volume, multiple and challenging U.S. business immigration services. Implement various visa strategies to deliver on clients' business needs and mitigate immigration risks. Stay abreast of changes in immigration law, regulation and policy. Use technology and digital initiatives to enhance the client experience. Use feedback and reflection to develop self awareness, personal strengths and address development areas. Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance. Know how and when to use tools available for a given situation and explain the reasons for this choice. Seek and embrace opportunities which give exposure to different situations, environments and perspectives. Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others. Able to read situations and modify behavior to build quality relationships. Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct. What You'll Bring to This Role An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives 1+ years of experience in U.S. Business Immigration Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Immigration law and the workflow of a file from initiation through to completion,including but not limited to H1B, RFE, L and PERM College Paralegal Diploma or University Degree considered an asset Analytical and problem solving skills within a fast-paced environment Ability to locate and research information efficiently, to use it effectively, and to evaluate the quality of the information Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to relate to people at all levels Excellent data analytic skills and reporting abilities Ability to effectively prioritize, excellent organization and administrative ability Ability to work independently and as part of a team, multi-task, use initiative and to work well under pressure to meet deadlines Flexibility to work outside normal office hours which may be required from time-to-time Why you'll love working for PwC
