Summary: We are currently seeking a Truck Sales Consultant for our Prince George location. This position will cover the Bulkley Valley (Burns Lake to Houston) area.
The Truck Sales Consultant will be responsible for selling new & used Class 8 and medium duty trucks while achieving and maintaining appropriate levels of gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction. This position offers our parts and shop services to customers; and evaluates trucks proposed for purchase, repossession, or trade-in and recommends purchase price and terms to the Sales Manager (or Dealer Manager). The Truck Sales Consultant also ensures that acquired vehicles are prepared for front line readiness, effectively and efficiently.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) essential
Post-secondary education in sales and marketing preferred
Medium and heavy duty truck sales/leasing experience preferred
Automotive sales experience is an asset
Three years related experience and/or training
Familiarity with advertising mediums, terms, success rates, etc.
Valid Passport (for training and customer factory visits)
Some travel will be required on all forms of commercial transportation to review potential purchases, attend training courses or meetings, evaluate existing inventory, or meet with current and potential customers.
Must be able to lift up to 25 kg or 50 lbs and carry short distances
Must be able to climb into and out of commercial transport vehicles
Excellent sales skills, preferably in a related field
Ability to negotiate is essential
Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills
