Truck Dispatcher - Lead

This role is fast-tracked to become a working supervisor within a year, provided you’ve got the right drive and leadership potential. You would be running a team of 4-6 dispatchers on days, and liaising with 2-3 who work the night shift.

They operate a 24/7 trucking business that services almost all of North America. In terms of their business edge, they offer value added services and a personal and attentive approach to their clients.
As a dispatcher, you will be answering calls and dispatching drivers (both owner/operators and employees) to locations across North America. You will have an array of tools at your disposal to keep organized, as orders may come via text, e-mail, phone or fax. You’ll be at the activity hub, and there will be a lot to juggle. As you develop and take on more of a supervisory capacity, you’ll be the customer service escalation point, the resource the team can tap for more knowledge or support, and the leader on the front lines.
Must have 3-5 years in a trucking specific dispatch role
Demonstrated leadership potential either professionally or in volunteer work
Strong dispatch software skills
Variable communicative style- able to handle executive professional speak to monosyllabic grunting
Also able to handle client calls, occasionally very upset, in a calming and professional manner
Customer service and teamwork focused
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This role is a salaried position paying $50,000, with benefits, vacation and a fast-tracked advancement plan. It’s in a growing company with a great team, and is an easy access location in Abbotsford.
