Designs speak into the client's portrayal of their product - to do so, they need the expertise of a designer who listens to their needs and wants and offers solutions to best portray the client.
We seek a designated Industrial/Structural Designer who has specialized in Tradeshow Exhibit Design and fully understands the aspects of structural and architectural integrity. Your designs both past and future, must show their strength for multiple uses and safety as well as creativity for not only the times but the applications in which they are being exhibited. (Please note this is not a graphic design position, it is a structural design position)
You are well versed in sitting in on client meetings to gain an understanding of their needs and budget and henceforth preparing options to fit within these parameters.
You have years of experience in working with suppliers and contractors for the build of your design and know the budgetary, logistical and labor challenges that go along with your design and know how to overcome these challenges to ensure the exhibit is delivered on time and on budget.
Your creative side is geared in a well balanced manner to reflect your own personal creativity, but to also "hear" the client and be an extension of their thoughts.
You will be proficient with Computer Aided Drafting software in both 2D and 3D formats as well as Photoshop, Illustrator and Windows based programs (Outlook, office, etc.). We currently use Vectorworks which is a definite asset to have but as long as you are willing to self train on the program, your other matching qualifications will meet our expectations.
Please note - this is NOT a graphic design position, if your experience lies only in graphic design, your application will not be considered.
Please submit your resume along with portfolio, credentials and your expected compensation to:
