The Total Rewards Analyst plays a critical role within Canfor's Total Rewards team. This position provides analytical expertise, data insights, and actionable recommendations that support the design, administration, and continuous improvement of Canfor's total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, and pension plans. The role ensures accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business objectives while contributing to decision-making.

A Day in the Life of the Total Rewards Analyst Includes:

Total Rewards Analysis & Reporting
  • Conduct market benchmarking and salary surveys to assess competitiveness.
  • Analyze and support delivery of pay structures, salary/wage increases, and incentive programs.
  • Monitor utilization and cost trends; recommend improvements to enhance employee experience and cost efficiency.
  • Pull and generate standard and ad-hoc reports to support decision-making, finance reconciliation and external stakeholders (e.g., insurers or regulatory parties).
  • Perform data mining and analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
  • Scrub and validate data for accuracy and completeness prior to reporting or system uploads
  • Analyze trends, research best practices, monitor economic conditions, maintain awareness of local legal/regulatory requirements, and make recommendations for program revisions and development.

Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Assist with audits and reporting for compensation, benefits and pension programs.

Projects
  • Participate in and support total rewards projects such as incentives review/redesign, job evaluations, pay structure reviews, policy updates etc.
  • Lead and execute system testing for HRIS tools during upgrades or new implementations.
  • Collaborate with HR systems analysts and vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.

For this role you'll come equipped with:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in compensation, benefits, or HR analytics.
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills; experience with HRIS and market survey tools.
  • CPHR, CCP or CEBS certification (or working toward certification) is an asset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong investigative mindset; methodical, organized, and structured, with the ability to identify root causes of issues.
  • Demonstrates outstanding integrity and ethical standards.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to build effective relationships across teams.

The salary range for this position is: $70,000.00-$100,000.00
