Provide a senior level of marketing expertise to support the Manager in the planning and execution of marketing and customer service initiatives across the enterprise. Leads the day-to-day activities of a multi-disciplinary team of marketing resources.


-Collaborates with the Manager and internal stakeholders to identify and manage marketing requirements to meet strategic objectives. Provides input to development of marketing strategies for the enterprise and for specific campaigns.

-Assists the Manager with development of branding and marketing concepts and tactics, fostering consistency of message and presentation across all channels, including digital, online, advertising and collateral. Supports the development of brand positioning and value propositions, and ensures adherence to all brand standards.

-Develops work plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and tactical implementation, ensuring alignment to established strategies. Assigns work, and leads a multi-disciplinary marketing team and external service providers in the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns.

-Provides marketing expertise and advice, and also delivers presentations to introduce concepts and proposals to internal clients at all levels across the organization. Supports the Manager as a technical resource during presentations to the TransLink Executive and the Board.

-Reviews large volumes of complex, technical information, and determines optimal means of translating and delivering that information from a marketing perspective in layman's terms.

-Participates in meetings with internal client groups, committees and project teams, ensuring that the TransLink brand is preserved and the marketing perspective is addressed. Also strives to foster a positive culture both within the marketing group and in all interactions with other areas of the organization.

-Maintains awareness of emerging trends and best practice in marketing methods and techniques, and identifies opportunities to enhance and streamline practices and procedures in the reporting area.

-Interacts with external partners and stakeholders, and also engages and oversees the work of service providers and consultants on the development and execution of marketing campaigns and other deliverables.

-Assists the Manager with development and monitoring of operational and project budgets.

-Provides the full scope of supervision to directly reporting staff, including selection, development, mentoring and performance management, collaborating with the Manager on the more critical issues.

-Acts on the Manager's behalf during absences.


Education & Experience:

The requirements for this job are typically acquired through a bachelor degree in a related discipline, and 5 years of experience in planning and execution of corporate marketing and customer service initiatives or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Requirements:

-Advanced knowledge of the concepts, principles, practices and techniques pertaining to the marketing field.

-Advanced planning and organizational skills as they pertain to the planning and executive of multi-channel marketing campaigns and other deliverables.

-Advanced interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal clients at all levels of the organization, committees and project teams; and with external partners and service providers.

-Solid communications skills to develop and deliver presentations at all levels of the organization.

-Solid creative and innovative thinking skills to participate in development of marketing campaigns, and identify tactics for execution.

-Solid problem solving and decision making skills to address emerging issues and remove roadblocks to ensure marketing campaigns and projects are executed on time and within budget.

-Solid analytical skills to review, assess and translate complex, technical information to address the marketing perspective and deliver in layman's terms.

-Solid leadership, development and team building skills to provide supervision to an team of reporting staff; and to engage and oversee the work of external service providers.

-Solid understanding of the public sector and related approval processes.

Other Information

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

Rate of Pay

Grade: 5

Salary: $74,139 to $92,674 per annum ($37.89 to $47.36 per hour)
